Twenty-two (22) agencies and offices of the National Steering Committee (NSC) unanimously approved the Climate Change Responsive Integrated River Basin Master Plan of Pampanga River Basin. The NSC meeting presided by DENR Assistant Secretary for Policy and Planning Service, Corazon C. Davis, CESO II, deliberated the Phase II Reports on the Formulation of Climate Change Responsive Integrated River Basin Master Plan for Pampanga River Basin during the NSC meeting last January 25, 2018 at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Training Center, BMB, North Ave., Quezon City.

The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Region 3, as the service provider of the said report presented the salient points in line with the formulation of the Climate Change Responsive Master Plan. NEDA Region 03 OIC, Assistant Regional Director Agustin C. Mendoza as the presenter in the meeting explained and discussed the developmental challenges, strategic plan and investment programs anchored in the master plan in line with mainstreaming climate change adaptation.

During the open forum, members of the NSC raised some issues and concerns pertaining to the provision of CLUP/FLUP on water resources development, detailed CADT/CADC maps, information on wetland and riparian ecosystems characterization and further study on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the coastal road construction under the flood mitigation management project. NEDA 3 responded to all the queries and took into consideration the concerns of the NSC members raised during the deliberation.
