In line with the Department’s thrust of improving the delivery of goods and services, as well as institute a culture of excellence in public service across the bureaucracy, the River Basin Control Office (RBCO) carried out an assessment and evaluation of its 2016 Performance as well as that of its regional counterparts. As an integral component of management, assessment determines whether or not the targets are met and the reasons for such. Hence, leading to a formulation of a more realistic action plan for the continued implementation of the master plans and strengthening of river basin organizations (RBOs). 
The results of the assessment also helped define RBCO’s thrust and direction for 2017.
The workshop was attended by Regional Focal Persons (Permanent and Alternate), representatives from the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Division and RBCO Official and staff. It was held last 13-14 January 2017 at Icon Hotel EDSA, Quezon City.
