QUEZON CITY – Department of Environment and Natural Resources – River Basin Control Office (DENR-RBCO) facilitated a National Steering Committee meeting for the deliberation of the Inception Report of five (5) climate change responsive Integrated River Basin Master Plan (IRBMP) at the Bulwagan Ninoy Aquino, Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, North Ave., Quezon City. The Agno, Cagayan, Buayan-Malungon and Mindanao River Basins Inception Reports were deliberated on November 3, 2015, while the Pampanga River Basin was discussed on December 3, 2015.
The University of the Philippines at Los Baños (UPLB) presented the Inception Reports for Agno, Cagayan, Buayan-Malungon and Mindanao River Basins. The National Economic and Development Authority Region III (NEDA III), on the other hand, presented the Inception Report for the Pampanga River Basin.
The Inception Reports have been formally endorsed by the Steering Committee, and both UPLB and NEDA-III may proceed to the Phase 1 of the formulation of a climate change responsive IRBMP.
